For the past 20 years of my life, I have been spotting the same straight and rebonded hair. The only difference is the lenght; either short above the shoulder or long way past the shoulder.

When I reached my 3x birthday, I decided a change is needed. It was either a short bob that ends at the neck area or big wave curls. And the latter is the choice.

The last perm I did was when I was 12 years old (I think!). I cried through the whole process. The perm made me look like an auntie. Everyone laugh at me when I went back to school with the “pong pong” head. I washed my hair everyday, hoping it will miraclously become straight the next day. It never happened until I went to cut it one month later.

20 years later, with advanced technology, my head no longer become “pong pong” liao. I did a digital perm at the lower half and touch-up my rebonded hair at the crown. I love my curls. The man loves love it too. He said now I look like my age and more 女人味。

In the past, when I had my straight rebonded hair, hawkers uncle/aunties would still call me 小妹, especially if I have my glasses on and wearing home clothes. Lucky so far, no one has called me auntie ………. yet!

I have not always been adventrous when it comes to my hair style. It took me 20 years to have the courage to change my look. The next step is to have the courage to colour the whole head. I have done streaks of highlights before but never colour the whole head. I hope it won’t take me another 20 years to do that. Guess with the increasing number of white hair showing up, it will be soon to change my hair colour.

As you can see, I have not been updating this blog for more than a month. Reason being, I have found new hobbies from facebook —–> games! The past one month saw me logging to facebook everyday playing games. It is so addictive. The games I’m playing right now are:

I’m still slowly climbing the games level. So I probably won’t be spending time blogging. There’s nothing much to blog also. I will only updates when there are new developments/things in my life. I will continue to read my regular blogs though.

I have not been talking/blogging about the Aware saga all this while. I did not discuss this among the colleagues/friends either. It’s not that I don’t care but I’m just afraid that once I start  blogging about it, I cannot control the anger I felt towards the ex-new committe. I only try to follow the sagas and the exchange of accusations between the old vs ex-new on the newspapers, TV (CNA).

I’m glad that it is finally over and they (the new (old) team) is able to continue what should Aware stands for. I’m glad to know that we, Singaporeans woman cares and are able to support and unite together when we felt that things are not right.

With more and more (suspected/confirmed) cases from Asia, the office sent out an email to everyone informing that temperature taking will be implemented from Monday onwards.

Oh my ….. the 2003 nightmare is here …….

Do you still remember? I only remembered the English version. I didn’t know we have the Mandarin version till this morning when I overheard it on the radio.

Due to the super hot these days, eczema found its way to me. I noticed in horror this monring, my back is covered with tiny red bumps! And my legs and arms are very dry and I starched till bled! Read Today that it was 36 degree on Sunday and more super hot days for the next two weeks!!!! Wah Piangz ………….

Going to search for all my body moisturizer and apply on my body and legs …..

*重大的事情和我商量，比如明年的投资计划、周末野餐带不带烧烤架，晚饭吃大白菜还是小白菜。

This long weekend gave me the opportunity to finish the final 10 episodes of this super 82-episode TVB drama. It’s about three sisters who married to rich guys. I’m not really into the stortyline but more interested in the fashion, beautiful jewleries and those branded shoes & bags!!! I want to have a shoes room like Jessica had in the show!! ha ha ha. They said this drama is based on the rich & famous life of those Hong Kong millionaires. I wonder does all those happenings in the business world, love life really happens in the real life? Didn’t like the ending. I was expecting more dramatic ending but was disappointed. Nonetheless, not a bad drama to catch but 82 episodes was too long as it gets too draggy in the middle. The man lost interest after the 10th episodes …….

Now, before the withdrawal symptoms starts, what’s next on the list? Any recommendations?

So sad to see him go ….. but I’m still going to be a big fan!

Today marks the 2nd year of my working life in this company. How fast time flies. When I first joined in, I was filled with enthusiasm, ready to make new changes and face the challenges ahead in good faith. After two years, my enthusiasm is no longer there, I drag myself to work, I don’t want to face the challenges anymore. I found myself aged so much in these two years working here and I’m so unhappy. The working environment not improved, the leadership teams made nasty and rash decisions. The only consolation is the people I met so far has been friendly, kind and acceptable.

The change of a new boss plus a new challenging role thrown to me late last year is not making it easier. In fact, it gets tougher and with not much support from the boss, I’m beginning to question my ability in this role. Am I the right person to this job? How much longer can I hold on? When will the time I snapped? One good thing is, my team of 3 have been very supporting. They put up with my moods and temper, they tried to help lighten my workload whenever they can, they are willing to meet all the KPIs I set for them. When I leave the company, my team will be the one I’m sad to leave behind.

Not sure whether I will be here to talk about the 3rd anniversary. Seriously, I hope not. I have a couple of options open but am still waiting for the right time to act. Either I change company or quit working totally. The man and I have been talking about marriage lately. I told him I seriously don’t mind being a homemaker after marriage because I want to start a family as soon as possible. Coming to my mid-30s, you can say my biological clock is ticking and loudly. I want to enjoy the whole pregrancy-child labor-becoming a mommy process entirely. Of course, being the good wife to my hubby, keeping the house safe, taking care of the future mother-in-law, who is a handicapped now. With the man career and salary, we can definately afford to have a single income family.

Well, we shall see ………….

I think the financial tusmani has made us (SG) poor plus the you-know-who failed investments with the now burst investment company, we have to resort to this to get money.

I believed this problem has been there for so many years and they have been keeping it pretty quiet for all these years when the economy is booming. But why surface this problems now? Do you mean they suddenly woke up and realised that this is a huge sum we are talking about?

To make matters worse, if the system still have not changed, I remembered one can only pay these fines using cashcards. Now, how many of us have this card? I remembered a couple years ago when I was fined for a few cents, I have to go asked around with at least 10 person before I can borrow a cashcard to pay the fines. Why so rigid system? Why can’t people pays using AXS or over the counter at post office or even cash at the counter?

I used to love the library and have spent hours there. It was a community heaven where we can spend out time there, reading all the books/magazines without worries. Now, I feel that it has become like a business venture … tsk tsk tsk …. imagine, so stress over borrowing books and have to finish it within a short period of time and if overdue, the fines I have to pay ….
