Sharing my thoughts
Just received a letter to inform me of a 5.4% salary increase to my salary with effect 1 April. Am happy that the work I had done and the projects that I have successfully rolled out for the past three months are being appreciated.
I guess, this is also the priced I paid for spending too much time at work and in the end, the love life suffered.
Should I be happy or should I feel sad ………………
Read the newspaper and found out that Golden Village is increasing the ticket price again! Thanks to inflation huh. Now, all the more reasons to just stay at home and wait for DVDs to come out. Lucky I’m not a big fan of going to the cinemas ….. ever since they increase the price two years ago, I have been boycotting them.
Even the food in school canteen has increased. My boss was just telling us the other day that her daughter came back from school one day and told her the daily allowance given to her is not enough. When asked why. She said the wanton mee sold in school increased to $1.20! It used to be $0.80 last year. Increased to $1.00 late last year. And now, increased to $1.20. Oh my!
The long weekend was spent with a heavy head, stuffy nose, watery eyes and a painful throat…. barely two months, and I’m down again ….
Totally miserable ……. 
Lucky I still have my new ordered DVDs to keep me company …. gonna start watching my dvds soon … I have not had a korean drama marathon for a long time …. time to start this “habit” (good or bad) again …. can’t wait ….
I got a new toy to play with these few days! Countesy of amex, I got a $428 voucher to get a ipod classic. However, I top up $70 to get a 8GB ipod touch and I absolutely fell in love with it. I can do so many things in ipod touch and even surf the web with the built-in wi-fi.
Now I know why I was shivering after coming out of the shower last night, and I even have to wear my Espirt jumper to sleep …. plus my quilt cover!
I have been feeling like I’m in London for the past few days because of the grey skies, dullness of rain ……. bbbbrrrrrr ……
To thank us for our efforts in organizing the company CNY lunch, the boss treated us to a sumptous lunch at Au Petit Salut , at Harding Road today.
The set lunch is S$30+++ per person. You get to pick an entree, main course, dessert and regular coffee or tea. Excellent value for money for the kind of quality that we are served.
The food is really good. The place is crowded with lunch crowd even though the place is in such an ulu place. Alot of chi-chi tais tais too.
Bread is super nice.

Be prepared to stay there for close to 2.5 hours for lunch. Serving was abit slow today. But I really enjoyed that 2.5 hours as I do not have to think about work even though I lunched with fellow colleagues.
After working for almost 12 hours per day, I still bring my portable hard disk home and wanted to start working on the outstanding items to get ready for the audit next week. But my mind is blank and have absolutely no mood to do any work. Braindead ….
I’m carving for some icre-cream and sleep ……
The candidate we are offering decided not to join us anymore. Just when I thought work-life balance is coming my way …. now I’m back to square one ….
I.AM.SO.TIRED.
Things might be looking better in the work front as I finally get the go-ahead to employ another assistant to help me. And I interviewed someone today and offer her the job straight away. I like her very much and she has related experience. And the best part is, she is able to join me soon in mid-march.
I’m looking forward to early knock-off and no-work on weekends.
